Interactive controls support previous/next step, tapping the current step to advance where enabled, ingredient or preparation completion, timer start/pause/resume/stop/cancel, and bounded minute adjustments. Display-only e-ink surfaces receive rendered state rather than direct touch controls.

Timer-driven e-ink refresh is coalesced to avoid excessive physical refreshes. Attached and remote-client watchers have different deployment roles and intervals.

Controls

  • Previous and next step
  • Tap-to-advance where enabled
  • Ingredient and preparation completion
  • Start, pause, resume, stop, and cancel timers
  • Add or subtract supported minute increments
  • Cancel, resume, or end the session
  • Return the display to default content when the session completes
