Chrome Extension troubleshooting
The extension says the URL is wrong.
Confirm that the URL points to your Blackcap application, not a recipe website. For hosted Blackcap, use https://blackcap.microwavepie.com when available. For self-hosted Blackcap, use your local or HTTPS Blackcap URL.
The token is rejected.
Create a new personal API token from Blackcap, copy it immediately when shown, and paste it into the extension settings. Tokens should be treated like passwords.
Chrome blocks the connection.
Remote deployments should use HTTPS. Local HTTP is intended only for trusted LAN setups. Browser certificate errors can prevent the extension from connecting.
The Pi or server appears offline.
Confirm the Blackcap service is running and reachable from the same browser. For self-hosted installations, also check local networking, firewall rules, and HTTPS proxy configuration.

- Include whether you use Blackcap Cloud or self-hosted Blackcap.
- Include your browser and operating system.
- For extension issues, include the extension version and the exact error message.
- Do not send API tokens or passwords by email.
