Microwave Pie builds practical productivity tools for everyday routines, including Blackcap. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us about your information.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, message content, product interest, account information, and communication preferences when you contact us, request updates, create an account, or use a Microwave Pie product.

If you use a third-party sign-in provider, such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, GitHub, or Apple, we may receive basic profile information from that provider, such as your name, email address, profile identifier, and authentication status, depending on the provider and your privacy settings.

We may also collect basic technical information, such as browser type, device information, IP address, pages visited, and approximate time of access, through our hosting provider, security tools, logs, or analytics services.

How we use information

We use information to respond to messages, provide requested updates, honor communication preferences, operate and improve our website and products, authenticate users, protect accounts, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website, host services, send email, provide authentication, process consent-management requests, or maintain security. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Microwave Pie, our users, or others.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the website and products, respond to requests, maintain business records, honor communication choices, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and comply with legal obligations. Preference and opt-out history may be retained so a later system or application does not accidentally reverse a prior communication choice. When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, de-identify it, or aggregate it.

Communication preferences and consent

Microwave Pie uses a centralized Consent Management service to remember communication choices by email address. Product Updates and General Marketing are optional and are not enabled unless you choose to subscribe. Shared Content, such as a recipe or meal plan another user sends to you, may be delivered without a prior subscription but can be turned off for your email address.

When you manage these settings, we keep the current preference and a limited history of preference changes, including the category, prior and new setting, time, and source of the change. This history helps us honor opt-outs, diagnose delivery issues, and document how an optional subscription changed over time. The Consent Management feature does not intentionally store your IP address or browser user-agent as part of this preference history.

Required service communications, such as license, package, account, security, or other messages needed to provide a requested service, are not controlled by the optional preference categories. Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, use the contact form on our home page or email hello@microwavepie.com.

Children’s privacy

Microwave Pie products are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the website or products after an update means the updated policy applies.
